Fossil Fools Project, 6.7.09 – 6.27.09, AS220, Providence, Rhode Island.
In 2009, the Fossil Fool Project debuted along side some works on paper at As220 in Providence, Rhode Island.
The works are based on geometric blocks we had at my elementary school. One color prints about America’s dependence on fossil fuels were cut out of paper and assembled into symmetrical patterns based on eastern mandalas and western quilting tradition. The works were then decoupaged onto painted panels and then lacquered with polyacrylic.
